Thanatos took away my feelings,
Oh! It was a murder with wings!
So let’s begin this autopsy;
Now, don’t get tipsy!
Made my logical mind believe in magic,
Then slowly painted it blue…so tragic!
Alas! My heart is now haunted,
By the ghost of feelings he enchanted.
As I close my eyes with a sigh,
I see myself, a year ago…so high!
When my heart was safe and sound,
With its strong defenses around.
Rainbows and flowers decorated my way,
None must’ve romanticized life in my way.
One fine evening, he stepped into my story;
As the hero with a golden halo and glory!
It wasn’t a cliche love at first sight,
But something that grew every fortnight.
It wasn’t his charm that melted me,
But something about his warm heart burned in me.
No cupid struck us with it’s arrow,
Instead, it slashed me with its wings to bring sorrow,
And aimed for her heart,
While I bled from my lacerated heart.
Even though he failed, the goody tried to cure me,
With the medicine, she brought to him for me.
Flashback paused; my heart is still haunted,
By the ghost of feelings he enchanted.
Something told me he wouldn’t cheat,
Nevertheless, I got caught up in the moment’s heat
Those were the days that made my heart beat,
Like I wish it did now, whenever we meet…
But sadly, my heart is now haunted,
By just the ghost of feelings he enchanted.
