Maybe Love

Maybe love is just a circle, spinning me around,
Where hearts collide but never touch the ground.
I reach for someone, but they reach for another,
A cycle of longing, a tale to rediscover.

Maybe love is not about holding hands tight,
But watching them glow in someone else’s light.
Maybe love is not a path meant for two,
But a silent wish, a sky painted blue.

Maybe I’m paying for the hearts I turned away,
Maybe fate whispers, “Now it’s your turn to stay.”
Maybe love is not a name, not a claim,
But a quiet ache that burns just the same.

Maybe I never loved, maybe I never knew,
Maybe love is a shadow that I chase but never view.
Maybe I don’t want love, or maybe I just can’t—
Maybe love is a song I was never meant to chant.
