Let’s run away tonight.
Let’s take some unknown path,
Hand in hand, feet naked,
Laughing and giggling,
Like maniacs out of an asylum.
Let’s run to some distant country,
And run about in a field of grass,
Like we’re lost kids,
With no damn to give to the world.
Let’s lie under the moon and gaze towards the stars,
As they shine so brilliantly for us.
Perhaps we could name one or two after us.
Let the moon be our only guiding light,
Shining so bright only for us.
Let’s stare into each others eyes until sunrise,
And kiss like there’s no tomorrow.
Let’s dance under the devastatingly vast sky,
Like we only have each other.
Let’s sleep into each other’s embrace in some far cliff where no one would find us.
Let’s have our own little adventure and be our homes.
I wouldn’t need anyone else or anything else,
When I have you and the moon and all our stars.
Aligning just for us.
You wanted to save me.
But you don’t need to.
So let’s run away tonight.
And let our adventure be our saviour?
