Take me to Edinburgh

This weeping heart is numbed from the soul-less solitude I’ve been though,

Oh! take it out and mitigate with the love of you,
Take me out, break the chains of chaos I’m clinging with.

Take me anywhere now, to the city of lights, some freighting heights, village of flowers, an empty pasture where we can sit and talk for hours.

Oh! take me out to Edinburgh, city of charms,
we could buy a ragged old house,
and work all day at farms,
have a nice warm coffee and watch the sun melt at the horizon,

Oh! take me anywhere, just not here.
